What do the archives say about the Old Polish countryside?
The most common sources describing the history of a Polish village are parish metric books. These books recorded the inhabitants of a given village for the last four centuries. For example, weddings or baptisms were recorded in such books. Books of this type are peculiar chronicles of individual villages and parishes.

Workshops full of joy and new skills
A series of summer workshops for children "Holidays with NIKiDW" in the part coordinated by the Regional Office in Częstochowa has ended. For two weeks, young residents of the municipalities of Herby (Lubliniec district) and Rędziny (Częstochowa district) explored the secrets of traditional Polish dances under the guidance of Maria and Mikołaj Pospieszalski, and made wooden toys together with folk artist Piotr Mentel.

The National Competition of Storytellers, Instrumentalists, Singers, Best Man and Wedding Leaders "Sabałowe Bajania" took place in Bukowina Tatrzańska from July 11-14. Guests traditionally came not only from Podhale, but from many corners of the country, including Kurpie, Greater Poland, Podkarpacie, Lublin, Podlasie.
