Ethnoekipa

A series of books providing educational aids for elementary school students published by The National Institute of Culture and Rural Heritage. The purpose of the seven-volume series of books is to familiarize the youngest readers with basic information about the ethnography of Poland and its regional diversity.

Selected issues are presented in such a way as to, while telling about past times, arouse curiosity about what still functions and is subjected to a constant process of valuation and redefinition. Taking into account the regional, ethnic, religious and social diversity of the cultural landscape, the following issues are discussed in the individual volumes:

  • VOLUME 1: "Home Fireside - where and how did they live?";
  • TOM 2: "Not only in the field - how did they work in the countryside?";
  • TOM 3: "Do It Yourself - How were various items made?";
  • TOM 4: "Pretty and parade-what to wear?";
  • TOM 5: "What to put in the pot - how was food prepared?";
  • VOLUME 6: "Cards from the calendar - how was it celebrated in the past?";
  • TOM 7: "Who Was Who in the Countryside?".
