Anki's Fair

On July 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Golub Dobrzyn's Old Town will host "Anka's Fair" - an event recalling the importance and role of Anna Vasa, sister of King Sigismund III Vasa.

Thanks to the royal's financial support, the first Polish herbarium was published in 1613. Anna Vasa, as Starosta of Golub, also exercised patronage over many artists. She was interested in religion, botany, theology and history. On her initiative, the Golub castle was rebuilt, which turned into her residence and is still an architectural gem in the Chelmno region because of the attic that adorns it.

On Saturday, visitors to Golub's Old Town will be able to feel the unique atmosphere of this historic place. You will find stands of folk artists, KGW and herbalists. Folk bands from all over the province will play - the Chełmno Band from Chełmno, the Agregandadoes and the Dzielni Fiddlers from Toruń, who will play traditional Kuyavian tunes, and the Piekielnica band will come to the event from the faraway Pałuki region.

The event will also include a workshop on painting Cuyahoga patterns on bookmarks.

You are cordially invited, admission is free!

Organizatorami wydarzenia są: Narodowy instytut Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi, powiat golubsko-dobrzyński, miasto Golub-Dobrzyń oraz gmina Golub-Dobrzyń.

The event prepared and coordinated by the NIKiDW Regional Office in Lysomice.
