The purpose of the Folk Artists Fellowship is to support local heritage and traditions through a grant program for an individual folk artist, providing the opportunity to work on a work, which is important both from the point of view of its development and from the perspective of spreading knowledge of the unique skills and traditions associated with them, which are an important part of the identity of the local community. The Fellowship's priorities concern creative projects rooted in the local community of the folk artist, with a particular focus on skills and content in danger of disappearing.
