The word vigil comes from Latin and means vigil. In the Catholic Church, it refers to the days preceding all major religious holidays. In Polish tradition, the name has become associated mainly with the date of December 24.

W dniu 13 grudnia 2024 roku odbyło się posiedzenie Rady Biblioteki Narodowego Instytutu Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi (NIKiDW), która jest organem opiniotwórczo-doradczym Dyrektora Instytutu.
Intensive workshop in Torun
Weekend 14-15 grudnia przyniósł mieszkańcom Torunia bardzo atrakcyjne wydarzenia. Narodowy Instytut Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi oraz n-obrotów zorganizowali najpierw spotkanie śpiewacze z Adamem Strugiem, a następnie „Kujawiaki. Warsztaty instrumentalne” z Kapelą Spod Kowala.

Tegoroczna odsłona Jarmarku bożonarodzeniowego zorganizowanego przez Narodowy Instytut Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi udowodnia, że Polacy są bardzo przywiązani do tradycji.
