One-of-a-kind Women's Day on Folk at the Institute

On March 8, The National Institute of Culture and Rural Heritage once again invites you to celebrate Women's Day together in a folk way. We have prepared a program that will include music, folk art and workshops for health and beauty. We invite all ladies and not only...

March 8 (Saturday)
Krakowskie Przedmieście 66, Warsaw
1:00-6:00 pm.

Women living in rural areas play an important role in the local environment. They are involved in social activities, including by being active in housewives' circles, NGOs, associations or local action groups. The number of female village leaders has been increasing for years, and it is clear that ladies are excelling in this position. Women increasingly want to decide about their immediate environment. Thanks to the initiatives they undertake, the Polish countryside is becoming more beautiful and developing every year. Local women leaders are not afraid to take on new challenges, responsibilities. They are able to unite the community around common activities to build a new future together, while nurturing local traditions.

During our event, we want to highlight the role and importance in rural development activities and thank them for their work and commitment. We will be hosting the rural housewives' circles, who will prepare delicacies of traditional cuisine, as well as folk artists, who will present their handicrafts - including crullers, lace and ceramic products. Stands with natural cosmetics, fruit vinegars and herbal teas will also await our guests.

The musical setting of our event will be taken care of:

  • Zespół Pieśni i Tańca Żeńcy Wielkopolscy
  • Agopsowicz Band
  • Kapela Tęgie Chłopy

Odwiedzający nas goście będą mogli wziąć udział w specjalnych warsztatach zielarskich, zdobienia przedmiotów wzorem zalipiańskim oraz warsztatach z wycinanki świętokrzyskiej.

You are cordially invited!
