"Masters... Students... Creators" - an exhibition of works by the Institute's Scholars

Serdecznie zapraszamy na wystawę prac Stypendystów Narodowego Instytutu Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi, pt. „Mistrzowie… Uczniowie… Twórcy”.

The opening of the exhibition took place on September 14, 2024 during the celebration of European Heritage Days. The exhibition presents the results of the work of our Scholars from two scholarship programs: "Master - Student" and Creative Scholarship.

Intergenerational transmission used to be a fundamental form of transmission in all walks of life and concerned the sphere of intangible and material culture. Both projects implemented by NIKiDW are aimed at supporting folk artists, artists, craftsmen not only in their own creative work, but also in the generational transmission of the knowledge
and skills they possess.

The exhibition features the results of the work of the 2023 Scholars, among whom there is no shortage of winners of such important awards as the Oskar Kolberg Prize. These include: ritual towels, Krzczon embroidery, folk toys and many, many other interesting exhibits. We invite people of all ages - thanks to the collected items it will be possible to take a symbolic journey in time and remember - or just find out - how things used to be.

The exhibition is open to the public until October 31 from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
On Mondays, guided tours for school groups by appointment.
