This year the program is aimed at selected agricultural schools run by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development: ZSCKR in Golotczyzna - November 7; ZSCKR in Sędziejowice - November 14; ZSCKR in Swarożyno - November 27; ZSCKR in Sejny - December 10.
The project is aimed at educating first-grade students. We want to familiarize young people with handicrafts, music, dances and tell them about the characteristics of the ethnographic region in which the school is located. The meeting has a workshop character - participants
will have the opportunity to meet with folk artists, musicians and dancers who have been cultivating local handicraft and musical heritage for years. Young people will have the opportunity to create their own works using traditional methods and learn the steps of folk and national dances. An active meeting with an ethnographer will allow students to learn about the history and folk culture of the region. During the conclusion, we suggest that students test the acquired knowledge in quizzes and competitions.
Through the project, we want to reach out to young people in an accessible and attractive way and build in them a sense of regional belonging and ethnographic awareness.
In the coming years, we will want to continue the project in more agricultural schools that are part of the Network of Agricultural Schools run by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. This year's project events will certainly create a space for discussion and exchange of views, which will allow us to draw substantive conclusions and implement them in the following year.
