SLAVNI - native culture convention 2025

The organizers would like to invite you to the 3rd edition of the SLAVNI convention, a unique event dedicated to literature and culture, which will be held on April 26-27, 2025 at the picturesque Museum of the Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park in Chorzow. This year, for the first time, the event's main theme will be "Slavic demons and rituals."

W programie występy kapel i zespołów ludowych, warsztaty rękodzielnicze, stoiska twórców ludowych oraz degustacja potraw regionalnych. A na zakończenie Potańcówka przy muzyce na żywo!

A Tale of the "Raised". Narrated by Zofia Dragan Biography: Zofia Dragan is a well-known regionalist and president of the MANU Association of Bukowiecans. She learned the Bukowiak dance and songs at her family home. For many years she presented them, performing in the "New Lotko" Regional Ensemble from Bukowiec, where she is now an instructor. She plays the fiddle beautifully in a bagpipe band.
Hunting season is about to begin....

Hubertus is a festival of hunters, held at the beginning of the autumn-winter season. In Poland, the cult of St. Hubert dates back to the 18th century. During the Second Republic of Poland, Hubertus hunts were held in Spala, and were initiated by President Ignacy Moscicki. To this day, in the Polish hunting tradition, so-called "hubertowins" are organized on November 3, i.e. collective hunts of a particularly solemn character, with the preservation of historical patterns and ceremonies.
History session on the occasion of the restoration of independence

On November 7 at 12 o'clock in the Congress Hall in Pulawy a Historical Session was held on the occasion of Poland's regaining independence. The session began with a patriotic concert performed by students of the Romuald Twardowski State Music School of the First Degree.
