37 paintings by the artist were presented in the unique Column Hall. The works on display reflect the author's fascination with the local landscape and architecture, and are particularly enchanting with the charm of the surrounding roadside shrines.
Ms. Julia Rzechowska realizes the need to create not only in painting, but also in drawing, cut-outs, puppetry, stage design and photography. She is a long-time educator at the School and Educational Center in Pulawy, a cultural animator, social activist, regionalist, author of publications on education. She initiated the creation of the Pulawy Art Academy and is a member of the Lublin branch of the Polish Association of Teachers of Fine Arts. The current exhibition is the 340th showing of the artist's work.
Unfortunately, the author of the works could not personally talk about her passion. Due to fortuitous reasons she could not attend the vernissage. Nonetheless, many warm words were spoken to her by Ms. Renata Stępień, who heads the M-Pik Community Center in Puławy. The guests attending the vernissage also placed many heartfelt and kind entries in our memorial book.
The exhibition will be on display at our Library until July 31, 2024, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
You are cordially invited.
