- It's a story about people from former Ursynów villages, about ties, about what was joyful and what was difficult, about changes that took place over the years. The series was created to commemorate the past of our district and tell the stories of people who are inextricably linked to it. And as the heroes of the films assure, Ursynów is constantly the best place to live," said Robert Kempa, Ursynów Mayor.
W premierowym pokazie filmu, poza licznie zgromadzonymi mieszkańcami Zielonego Ursynowa i bohaterami filmu, wzięli udział przedstawiciele Zarządu Dzielnicy Ursynów: Robert Kempa, Klaudiusz Ostrowski i Cezary Holdenmajer, dyrektor Narodowego Instytutu Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi, Elżbieta Osińska-Kassa, zastępca dyrektora Narodowego Instytutu Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi, Nina Sapa oraz przedstawiciele ursynowskich instytucji kultury.
Residents whose families have lived in Ursynów for generations have preserved the memory of its former rural character. Despite the fact that the district, has undergone significant transformation, the images of the past preserved and recalled in memory are very important to these people. This is the story of a community that still feels a bond with the place, with its ancestors. This sense of rootedness is an important factor in shaping the identity of residents of Ursinus villages.
- The heritage of these places lies "under the urban fabric," but it is worth immersing oneself in it to discover local history, which is unique not only in Warsaw, but in the whole of Poland. We are dealing here with preserved rural layouts of several villages and multi-generational family traditions," explains the originator of the series, Malgorzata Jaszczolt.
