One of NIKDW's priorities is to provide comprehensive support for the direct transmission of locally rooted activities in order to preserve, strengthen, and sometimes - restore local heritage and traditions, with a particular focus on skills at risk of disappearing. An element of this support is the "Master-Student" Scholarship Program. It assumes, through financial support of individuals - masters and adepts, to create conditions for the free teaching and learning of unique skills, important for their individual development and for the dissemination of knowledge of tradition. Its addressees are both masters
with already established positions and achievements, and adepts.
The result of jointly implemented educational projects is to be a work of art produced by the adept - under the guidance of a master - and/or proficiency in the mastery of traditional skills, the subject of the Fellowship.
